All of Fabric Server Setup Guide (2026)

All of Fabric modpack server

All of Fabric (AOF) is a kitchen-sink modpack built on the Fabric mod loader. It brings together tech, magic, exploration, and quality-of-life mods while maintaining Fabric's lightweight performance. The pack proves that Fabric is not just for optimization mods.

Why All of Fabric

  • Fabric performance: Faster startup, lower memory, better TPS than Forge equivalents
  • Modern mods: Uses the latest Fabric mod ecosystem
  • Kitchen sink: Something for everyone: tech, magic, building, exploration
  • Active community: Regular updates and good documentation

Key Mods Included

Tech: Tech Reborn, Modern Industrialization, Applied Energistics 2 (Fabric), Create (Fabric) Magic: Ars Nouveau (Fabric), Botania (Fabric), Hex Casting Exploration: Terralith, BetterEnd, BetterNether, Towns and Towers QOL: Roughly Enough Items (REI), Inventory Sorting, Jade (WAILA), Xaero's Minimap

Server Setup

  1. Download server files from Modrinth or CurseForge
  2. Extract to your server directory
  3. Run the Fabric server installer
  4. Place all mod jars in the mods/ folder
  5. Start the server
  6. Accept EULA and restart

Performance Advantage

Fabric packs generally perform better than Forge equivalents:

  • Faster server startup (30 to 60 seconds vs 2 to 5 minutes)
  • Lower idle RAM usage
  • Better TPS with similar mod counts
  • Lithium and other optimization mods included by default

Configuration Tips

  • Use Lithium, Krypton, and FerriteCore (typically pre-included)
  • Set view distance to 10
  • Pre-generate the world with Chunky
  • Enable the recipe viewer (REI) for player convenience
  • Set up claims with FLAN or similar

Hardware Requirements

| Players | RAM | |---------|-----| | 1 to 10 | 4 to 6 GB | | 10 to 20 | 6 to 8 GB | | 20 to 40 | 8 to 12 GB |

Fabric packs use less RAM than comparable Forge packs. A 150-mod Fabric pack often runs on less RAM than a 150-mod Forge pack.
