Is Space-Node's 7 Days to Die hosting updated for V3.1 Henpocalypse?

Yes. V3.1.0 'Henpocalypse' became stable on July 27, 2026, and our servers run the current branch. It is a content update on top of V3.0 'Dead Hot Summer', not a replacement, so existing V3.0 worlds carry over.

Will my old mods still work after Dead Hot Summer and Henpocalypse?

It depends. V3.0 reworked the mod infrastructure with a new XUi system and XML format, so overhaul mods built for V2.6 need an author update to load. V3.1 also split some settings like Density and Respawn into separate day/night and enemy/animal values and removed a few old options, so an old V3.0 config can silently apply different settings than intended rather than failing outright. Check each mod's page for confirmed V3.1 compatibility before relying on it.

How much RAM does a 7 Days to Die server need?

A small vanilla or lightly-modded server for a handful of survivors runs comfortably on 6GB. A real mod list and a bigger horde night crowd is more comfortable on 8GB, and heavy modpacks or larger player counts benefit from 12GB.

Can I customize horde night, loot, and difficulty settings?

Yes. Full access to serverconfig.xml and the in-panel settings lets you tune horde night frequency and difficulty, loot abundance, XP multipliers, and every other server setting.

Which regions can I host in?

Accepted Answer

Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, USA (California), USA (Virginia), Singapore, India, and Australia. Pick the region closest to most of your survivors, and check the live latency preview before you order.

Yes, on every 7 Days to Die plan at no extra cost.

Why does my server slow down after a few in game weeks?

Accepted Answer

Accumulated block damage and entity data. Every crater, every ruined building and every dropped bag stays in the region files, so a world that has been played hard for weeks is doing far more work than a fresh one. A region reset on unused areas is the usual remedy.

Do mods need to be installed on the client as well?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the mod. Server side only mods, which change spawn rates or loot tables, need nothing from the player. Anything that adds blocks, items or UI has to be installed by every player at the same version, or they will be kicked on join.

What happens to my save when a new alpha or stable release lands?

Accepted Answer

Major version changes almost always require a world reset, and mods need to be rebuilt for the new version. Point releases within a version are usually save compatible. Always copy your save folder before updating.

Can console players join a PC dedicated server?

Accepted Answer

No. The console versions use their own multiplayer and cannot connect to a PC dedicated server.

Why do zombies rubber band or teleport during blood moons?

Accepted Answer

A blood moon is by far the heaviest moment for the server, with many pathfinding entities at once. Rubber banding there points at CPU headroom rather than at bandwidth, which is why blood moon performance is the honest benchmark for a 7 Days to Die server.
