Windrose uses a Wine compatibility layer that we pre-configure on our Linux servers. You do not need to install or configure Wine yourself. The server binary runs through Wine automatically.

How much RAM does a Windrose server need?

A small crew exploring early game runs on 2GB. A mid-size group with bases and active piracy is comfortable on 8GB. Large pirate empires with many structures benefit from 16GB or more.
