Pick by group size
Which plan fits your Prominence II server?
The pack team suggests at least 8GB for a group of 3 to 4 players, then 1GB more for every extra player. The server pack's own start script gives Java an 8GB heap, and Java needs memory on top of that, so we suggest 12GB. Standard plans run on DDR4, Premium plans on faster CPUs with DDR5.
3 to 4 players
MC Diamond, 8GB RAM
Standard
€7.20/mo
Premium
€13.99/mo
The pack team's own minimum for a smooth game, for a small group playing the campaign together.
Choose 8GBUp to 8 players
MC Special 1, 12GB RAM
Standard
€10.80/mo
Premium
€21.99/mo
Room for the 8GB heap the server pack asks for, plus memory for Java itself. By the pack team's rule of 1GB per extra player, enough for 8 players.
Choose 12GBUp to 12 players
MC Special 3, 16GB RAM
Standard
€14.40/mo
Premium
€27.99/mo
The same rule gives 12 players on 16GB. Bigger groups keep adding 1GB per player, and past about 15 players online the pack team also suggests a faster CPU, which is what our Premium tier is for.
Choose 16GBPrices for the Netherlands, Germany and Poland. Other regions are in the plan selector below.

CPU matters
Minecraft cares about single-thread speed. In the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Canada, Premium runs Ryzen 9 7950X or 9950X (depending on stock) and Standard Ryzen 9 3900X-class. California and Virginia run the 7950X3D, Singapore and Australia the 5950X, and India the 3900X-class. The CPU is shared on every plan.
Protection choices
DDoS protection is included on every plan in every region. Premium and the USA locations run behind Cloudflare Magic Transit; Standard, Singapore, Australia and India use standard protection. There is no paid add-on.
Panel included
Console, files, backups, schedules, startup flags, and sub-users are ready.
9 regions
Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, USA (California), USA (Virginia), Singapore, India (Mumbai), and Australia. EU, NA, Asia, South Asia, and Oceania covered.

Setup
From order to first join
Step 1
Pick 8GB or more and a region
We suggest 12GB. Your server and control panel login arrive by email after payment.
Step 2
Install Fabric and the server pack
Install Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1 from the panel; the pack uses loader 0.19.3. Unpack the server pack and the zip inside it, upload the contents over SFTP, set Java 17, start once, accept the EULA in eula.txt and start again.
Step 3
Match the pack version
Players install Prominence II 4.1.2 in the CurseForge or Modrinth app, the same version as the server. The pack warns anyone who gives the game less than 4GB of RAM.
Running the server
Prominence II things worth knowing before you start
The start script asks for an 8GB heap
variables.txt in the server pack sets JAVA_ARGS to -Xmx8G -Xms8G for the pack's own start scripts. Java needs memory on top of the heap for itself, which is why we suggest 12GB rather than 8GB.
Chunky and spark are already in the pack
Chunky does not run on its own. Before your group starts exploring, set a radius with chunky radius in the console and run chunky start. It then pregenerates the map around the world center, so the server is not busy generating terrain while people play. spark shows which mod, entity or chunk is slowing the server down.
Land claims come with it
Open Parties and Claims is part of the server pack, so players can claim land around their builds and share it with their party without adding mods.
Updates come about once a week
Seven versions came out between 21 August and 1 October 2026. The server pack has no backup mod, so take a backup from the panel before each update and read the changelog first. The 4.1.2 notes, for example, say Bumblezone and Deeper and Darker will be removed in about 3 to 4 updates, and that their blocks and dimensions will be gone once that happens.

Prominence 2 Hosting FAQ
- The pack team suggests at least 8GB for 3 to 4 players and 1GB more for every player past that, so 6 players need 10GB and 10 players 14GB. The server pack's own start script gives Java an 8GB heap, and Java needs memory on top of the heap, so we suggest 12GB. By the pack team's rule that covers up to 8 players.
- Prominence II: Hasturian Era runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Fabric. Version 4.1.2 and its server pack use Fabric Loader 0.19.3, and the server pack recommends Java 17. Every release on the pack's CurseForge page is a Fabric build, so you do not need Forge. You can pick the Java version in the Startup tab of the panel.
- On the pack's CurseForge page: open the Files tab, pick the version and look under Additional Files. The pack team only publishes the server pack there, not on Modrinth or in the CurseForge app. The 4.1.2 download is about 1.2 GB, a zip with a readme and a second zip inside that you unpack as well. That second zip holds the mods (364 jars), config, datapacks and start scripts.
- The newest one, which was 4.1.2 from 1 October 2026 when we checked on 2 October 2026. Server and players need the same version. Not every release gets a server pack: when the newest one has none yet, everyone stays on the newest version that does. New versions have come out about once a week since August 2026, so check the Files tab before you update.
- Yes. Prominence II is on Modrinth too, and the pack team says the CurseForge server pack works with Modrinth clients. The version still has to match the server.
- Yes. Enemies scale with your level, and the pack page says that mob scaling supports multiplayer. Mythic Challenges allow up to 3 lives in multiplayer, and since 4.1.0 allies can enter the same Hourglass challenge, up to 5 players at a time. The server pack also includes Open Parties and Claims, so players can claim land and form parties.
- The one closest to most of your players. We run Prominence II capable servers in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, USA (California and Virginia), Singapore, India and Australia. The plan selector measures your ping to each region and suggests the fastest.
