Prominence II (also called Prominence RPG) is one of the most downloaded modpacks on Modrinth and CurseForge. It transforms Minecraft into an RPG with classes, skill trees, boss fights, custom dungeons, and a quest system. Think Minecraft meets an action RPG.

Important Server Settings
Difficulty
Keep it on Hard. The modpack is balanced for Hard difficulty. Normal makes bosses too easy.

View Distance
Set to 10 to 12 for exploration. The custom world generation creates impressive landscapes that benefit from higher view distance, but lower it if performance suffers.
Mob Spawning
Do not reduce mob spawning. The custom mob spawns are part of the RPG progression. Hostile mobs drop unique items needed for crafting.
Multiplayer Tips
- Party system lets players team up for dungeons
- Scale boss health based on party size if configurable
- Set up a central hub town for player interaction
- Enable PvP in designated arenas only
- Loot is typically per-player in dungeons
Performance Notes
Prominence II is heavier than vanilla due to:

- Additional mobs and entities

- Large structure generation
Pre-generate the world for 5000+ blocks in each direction. This prevents lag spikes when players explore new areas.
