How much RAM does an ARK server need?

It depends on the version. ARK: Survival Evolved runs well on 8 to 12GB for a single map. ARK: Survival Ascended is a full Unreal Engine 5 remaster and needs at least 16GB for a single map, and 24 to 32GB for clusters and heavy mods. What is the difference between the Evolved and Ascended plans?

Survival Evolved uses the original Unreal Engine 4 and runs well on 8 to 12GB of RAM with Steam Workshop mods. Survival Ascended is the UE5 remaster and needs at least 16GB per map. We split the plans so Evolved players pay less for lighter hardware, and Ascended players get the RAM their version actually demands.
