Every Dragonwilds plan runs on our Premium node in the Netherlands: AMD Ryzen 9 processors that boost up to 5.7GHz, DDR5 memory and PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage. We don't sell Dragonwilds in other regions yet, so players far from Europe should expect a higher ping.

How to Connect Your Server with Your Owner ID
Jagex's dedicated server will not start without the owner's Dragonwilds Player ID. Setting it up takes three steps:
Get Your Owner ID In-Game
Launch RuneScape: Dragonwilds, open Settings, and copy your Player ID from the bottom of the menu.
Paste in the Space-Node Panel
Open your server in the Pterodactyl panel, navigate to the Startup tab, and paste it into Owner ID (verplicht).
Restart and Find Your World
Click Restart. In the game, open the Public tab of the Worlds screen and search for your exact world name. The search is case sensitive.

Engineered for the Wilderness
Jagex's official Linux server, updated through SteamCMD, on DDR5 hardware in the Netherlands.
Official Linux Dedicated Server
Jagex's own dedicated server (SteamCMD App ID 4019830) runs natively on Linux in a Docker container, with no Wine or Proton layer in between.
Owner ID and World Listing
The server registers its world online so players can find it by name. Paste your Dragonwilds Player ID into the Owner ID field in the panel; the server will not start without it.
AMD Ryzen 9 DDR5 Nodes
Unreal Engine 5 dedicated servers love clock speeds. Dragonwilds runs on our Premium node in the Netherlands, with high-clocked AMD Ryzen 9 processors and DDR5 memory.
Always-On DDoS Mitigation
Multi-layer DDoS protection shields your Dragonwilds server against UDP game floods, port sweeps, and volumetric network attacks.
Ultra-Fast NVMe Storage
Fast read and write speeds ensure your world saves, player progression, and terrain chunks load with zero server hitching.
Full Config & File Access
Edit DedicatedServer.ini in our web file manager or over SFTP, or upload a world you created on your own PC. Stop the server first, because changes made while it runs are lost.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about hosting a Dragonwilds server.
- RuneScape: Dragonwilds is Jagex's co-op survival crafting game, set on Ashenfall, RuneScape's forgotten continent, and built on Unreal Engine 5. It left Early Access with version 1.0 on 15 September 2026, on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and the Jagex Launcher), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, with crossplay between them. Jagex has offered an official dedicated server since the 0.11 update in March 2026.
- Jagex's dedicated server will not start without it. The Owner ID is your Dragonwilds Player ID, and it makes you the owner of the server: the owner can ban and unban anyone, online or offline. Admins, meaning anyone who enters the admin password in the Server Management screen, can only ban regular players who are online.
- Launch RuneScape: Dragonwilds and open the Settings menu. Your Player ID is at the bottom, with a copy button next to it. Paste it into the 'Owner ID (verplicht)' field in the Startup tab of your Space-Node game panel.
- Up to 6. Jagex's server guide lists 6 players per dedicated server, and the 1.0 patch notes do not change that. Jagex puts the RAM need at 2GB plus 1GB per player, so 8GB for a full server. Adamant (6GB) covers up to 4 players, and Rune (8GB) or Dragon (12GB) a full group of 6.
- Yes, on restart. Our Pterodactyl egg checks SteamCMD for a new server version every time the server starts. Jagex's patch notes say dedicated servers need a restart to pick up an update, and the server has to run the same version as your players' game, so restart from the panel after every patch or hotfix. If your server suddenly disappears from the world list, a version mismatch after a patch is the usual cause.
- Yes. You can configure your Server Name, World Password, Admin Password, and Default World Name directly inside the Game Panel Startup variables or through DedicatedServer.ini.
- Yes. Stop the server, download a backup of RSDragonwilds/Saved/SaveGames, and empty that folder. Then upload the .sav file of your world from C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Local\RSDragonwilds\Saved\SaveGames on your PC and start the server again. It loads the newest .sav it finds. To play a Custom or Creative world, create it in your own game first, enter and leave it once, then upload it the same way. These are the steps from Jagex's own server guide.
- Dragonwilds 1.0 added crossplay between PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, and Jagex's 1.0 patch notes say dedicated servers now have a crossplay option too. Jagex's server guide does not explain yet how that option is set, and we have not confirmed it on our panel, so if players on console need to join your world, ask us before you order.
- Every Dragonwilds server runs on our Premium node in the Netherlands, with AMD Ryzen 9 processors that boost up to 5.7GHz, DDR5 memory, Gen4 NVMe SSDs and a 1Gbps uplink. We don't sell Dragonwilds in other regions yet, so players far from Europe should expect a higher ping.
- Yes. Automated daily backups protect your world saves against corruption. You can also create manual restore points before major explorations with a single click.
