Space-Node doesn't have a server in Malaysia. Our closest location is Singapore, just across the Causeway, so that's where your Minecraft server runs with us. It's our only location in Southeast Asia, and for most players in KL, Penang, JB or Kuching it's the closest of our nine regions.
The cheapest plan costs €2.70 a month, about RM12.40. For a vanilla world with a few friends, that's enough. Prefer to read this in Malay? See our panduan Bahasa Melayu.
Why Singapore works for Malaysian players
I won't quote ping numbers. The route from your ISP matters more than the distance on a map, and two friends on different providers can take different routes to the same server. The browser check in the plan selector compares our locations from your own connection, so get everyone to run it from home at the time you usually play.
The hardware in Singapore is shared AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with NVMe storage and standard DDoS protection. There's one tier, which the website labels Premium.
Every plan comes with our Pterodactyl-based panel, a console, file manager, SFTP access, a free subdomain and backups you make yourself in the panel. Automatic off-site backups are an optional paid add-on at checkout.
Prices in euros and ringgit
We're a Dutch company and bill in euros. The ringgit column uses the ECB reference rate of 16 October 2026, so treat it as a guide. Your bank or card provider does its own conversion.
| Plan | RAM | NVMe | EUR per month | Approx. MYR | Suggested players |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coal | 3 GB | 40 GB | €2.70 | RM12.40 | 1-5 |
| Iron | 4 GB | 50 GB | €3.60 | RM16.53 | 1-10 |
| Gold | 5 GB | 60 GB | €4.50 | RM20.67 | 1-20 |
| Lapis | 6 GB | 70 GB | €5.40 | RM24.80 | 1-25 |
| Diamond | 8 GB | 80 GB | €7.20 | RM33.07 | 1-30 |
| Special 1 | 12 GB | 100 GB | €10.80 | RM49.60 | 1-40 |
| Special 2 | 15 GB | 120 GB | €13.50 | RM62.00 | 1-45 |
| Special 3 | 16 GB | 130 GB | €14.40 | RM66.14 | 1-55 |
| Special 4 | 32 GB | 165 GB | €29.99 | RM137.74 | 1-80 |
The player ranges are suggestions from checkout, not a hard cap: your software, mods and how far people spread out decide the real limit. Longer billing terms can give a discount at checkout.
How much RAM you actually need
Vanilla survival. Coal (3 GB) runs a fresh world for a handful of friends. Move to Iron (4 GB) once people scatter on elytras or build big farms: every loaded area costs memory.
Paper with plugins. For a growing SMP with LuckPerms, EssentialsX and a land claim plugin, start on Gold (5 GB), then Lapis (6 GB) as the community grows. Your plugins and loaded chunks decide the size more than Paper itself does.
Cobblemon. Take Diamond (8 GB) for up to about ten players: every Pokémon walking around is an entity, and full pastures add up. With 10 to 25 players, or sidemods like Mega Showdown, go for Special 1 (12 GB). The Cobblemon hosting page opens with Singapore selected.
Modpacks. Light packs up to about 50 mods run on Iron (4 GB), packs with 100 to 150 mods on Lapis (6 GB), and most popular packs sit comfortably on Diamond (8 GB). Heavy packs like All the Mods 10 want Special 1 (12 GB) to Special 3 (16 GB). The pack author's server requirements beat any rule of thumb; our modpack hosting page lists the options.
Before you upgrade, try the free fixes: pre-generate the world with Chunky and lower simulation-distance in server.properties. More RAM won't save a laggy mob farm.
Voice chat and Bedrock friends
Simple Voice Chat needs its own UDP port. Extra ports are free and you create them in the panel: three allocations are included, and you can get up to five on request. Create a port, enter that number as the port in voicechat-server.properties and restart the server. Every player also needs the mod in their own game.
The same free ports work for Geyser, which lets friends on Bedrock join your Java Edition server.
Ordering your Singapore server
- Open the Minecraft plans with Singapore selected.
- Pick a plan by RAM, using the advice above.
- At checkout, check that the location says Singapore. Some product names there still say "Budget": that's old wording for the same plan at the same price.
- Choose a billing term and decide whether you want automatic off-site backups.
- Pay in euros, then install Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge or a popular modpack with one click in the panel, or upload your own files over SFTP.
- Give your friends the free subdomain instead of an IP address.
There's no free trial and no money-back guarantee; refunds follow our terms of service. You can cancel anytime, and the server stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Moving an existing world
Your world doesn't have to stay on a friend's laptop or your old host. Stop the old server, download the whole server folder and keep the same Minecraft version and loader for the move. Upgrade afterwards, never during. On Paper the Nether and the End live in their own folders, so don't leave them behind. Upload everything over SFTP and test with two accounts before the group joins.
The migration guide goes through it folder by folder, including the online-mode setting that can empty every inventory. Rather not do it yourself? A one-time migration service is available as a paid add-on. Already with us in another location? Moving your server to Singapore is free: ask in live chat.
Friends in Singapore or Indonesia
A Singapore server suits a group spread over Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Your Singapore friends play on a server in their own city, and for most Indonesian players it's the closest of our locations too. Run the browser check from each country before you order.
Indonesian friends can read the plans in Bahasa Indonesia on the Indonesian plan page. Their support window is 15:00 to 03:00 WIB. For more on the location itself, see the Singapore Minecraft hosting guide.
Support hours in Malaysia time
Our team answers live chat, tickets and Discord every day from 08:00 to 20:00 UTC. In Malaysia that's 16:00 to 04:00 the next day, all year, since Malaysia doesn't change its clocks. That covers the evenings and late nights when most groups play. The servers also have 24/7 monitoring. The contact page shows the window in your own time zone.
