Pick by group size
Which plan fits your Cobblemon server?
Cobblemon adds a lot of living entities to the world, so memory matters more than on vanilla. These are the plans we point Cobblemon players to. Prices are Standard tier per month; you can switch region and tier in the plan selector below.
Friends and family
Up to 10 players
MC Diamond, 8GB RAM
Plain Cobblemon or a light pack. Room for pastures, berry farms and a shared base without the server stalling when everyone logs in.

10 to 25 players
MC Special 1, 12GB RAM
Also the right pick for a smaller group that adds sidemods like Mega Showdown, Cobblemon Additions or trainer packs.

25+ players
MC Special 3, 16GB RAM
More players means more loaded chunks and more Pokémon entities at once. This is where the extra headroom pays for itself.

CPU matters
Minecraft cares about single-thread speed. In the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Canada, Premium runs Ryzen 9 9950X and Standard Ryzen 9 3900X-class. California and Virginia run the 7950X3D on Standard and the 9950X on Premium, Singapore and Australia the 5950X, and India the 3900X-class. The CPU is shared on every plan.
Protection choices
DDoS protection is included on every plan in every region. Premium in Europe and Canada and every USA plan run behind Cloudflare Magic Transit; Standard, Singapore, Australia and India use standard protection. There is no paid add-on.
Panel included
Console, files, backups, schedules, startup flags, and sub-users are ready.
9 regions
Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, USA (California), USA (Virginia), Singapore, India (Mumbai), and Australia. EU, NA, Asia, South Asia, and Oceania covered.

Cobblemon 1.8, Make Your Move
What 1.8 changes for server owners
Cobblemon 1.8 came out in September 2026. Most of the new content is great for players; these are the parts that affect how you run the server.
Alpha Pokémon
Bigger, stronger spawns that always lead herds and know a TM move. More entities per herd, so keep an eye on TPS during busy evenings.
TMs and the TM Machine
Server owners get two new config options: make TMs infinite-use, or unlock every TM recipe from the start. There is also a new /givetm command.
Habitat Block
A spawner block made for servers and adventure maps that controls which Pokémon spawn in an area. Useful for spawn hubs and event zones.
49 habitat structures
They only generate in new chunks. On an existing world you will find them past the terrain your players already explored.
Per-world spawning switch
You can now turn off Pokémon spawning for a single world, handy for a lobby or a creative build world.
Advancements reset
1.8 refactored advancements, so everything except the starter advancement resets. Tell your players before you update.
Berry trees and pasture blocks also got performance improvements for servers in this release. Full walkthrough in our Cobblemon 1.8 server update guide.
Cobblemon Hosting FAQ
- For Cobblemon on its own with up to 10 players, 8GB is the comfortable choice (MC Diamond, €7.20/mo). Between 10 and 25 players, or with sidemods like Mega Showdown and Cobblemon Additions, go for 12GB. Public servers past 25 players do best on 16GB. You can upgrade later without losing your world.
- Cobblemon 1.8, released in September 2026, runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 and is available for both Fabric and NeoForge. Your server and every player need the same Cobblemon version and the same loader. If you use a modpack, everyone installs the same pack version.
- Open the modpack installer in the control panel, search for the pack you want on Modrinth or CurseForge and click install. The panel downloads the server files and sets up the loader. For a plain Cobblemon server, pick Fabric or NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1 and upload the Cobblemon jar plus its one required mod into the mods folder over SFTP. On Fabric that is Fabric API (Fabric Language Kotlin already ships inside the Cobblemon jar). On NeoForge it is Kotlin for Forge.
- Yes. Upload the world folder over SFTP, set level-name in server.properties to match the folder name, and restart. Make sure the server runs the same Cobblemon version the world was last played on, otherwise update the world on a copy first.
- If you run plain Cobblemon, updating is straightforward after a backup. If you run sidemods or a modpack, wait until each of them has a 1.8 compatible release. Advancements reset in 1.8 and the new structures only appear in unexplored chunks, so let your players know what to expect.
- The server runs 24/7, so anything in loaded chunks keeps ticking. Chunks near spawn or kept loaded by a chunk loader keep growing berries and running pastures while your players are offline. Farms in unloaded chunks pause until someone comes back.
- The one closest to most of your players. We have Cobblemon capable servers in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, USA (California and Virginia), Singapore, India and Australia. The plan selector measures your ping to each region and suggests the fastest one.
