Valheim's bosses, called the Forsaken, gate your progression. Each one drops a power and materials you need for the next biome. Here is every boss in order, where to summon it, and how to win.

1. Eikthyr (Meadows)
A stag with lightning attacks. Summon at the sacrificial stones using 2 Deer Trophies. Use a bow and dodge his lightning AoE. Drop: Hard Antler (lets you craft the Antler Pickaxe) and a power that reduces stamina drain while running and jumping.
2. The Elder (Black Forest)
A giant tree creature. Find his location with Vegvisir runestones in Burial Chambers. Summon with 3 Ancient Seeds from Greydwarf nests. Use fire arrows, he is weak to fire. Dodge his root attacks and stomp. Drop: Swamp Key (opens Sunken Crypts) and a power that boosts wood chopping.
3. Bonemass (Swamp)
A blob of poison. Summon with 10 Withered Bones from Sunken Crypts. Use a blunt weapon (Iron Mace), he resists most damage but is weak to blunt. Bring poison resistance mead. Drop: Wishbone (finds buried treasure) and a power for physical damage resistance.
4. Moder (Mountains)
A dragon. Summon with 3 Dragon Eggs from the Mountains. Fight on open ground, use frost-resistance mead, and shoot her with arrows when she lands. Drop: Dragon Tears (craft the Artisan Table) and a power for tailwind sailing.
5. Yagluth (Plains)
A giant undead. Summon with 5 Fuling Totems from Fuling villages. Dodge his meteor and fire-beam attacks. Drop: Yagluth Thing (passive elemental resistance) and materials for Black Metal-tier gear.
6. The Queen (Mistlands)
Found deep in Infested Mines. Build the Sealbreaker using 9 Dvergr Extractors. This is a tough fight in tight spaces, bring Padded armor and Black Metal weapons. Drop: materials for Eitr-based magic gear.
7. Fader (Ashlands)
The Ashlands boss. Requires Flametal-tier gear and fire resistance. Drop: end-game crafting materials.
Multiplayer Boss Fights
Bosses scale in difficulty and are much easier with friends. Running a dedicated Valheim server lets your group progress together without one person needing to host. Allocate at least 4 GB RAM for a small group.
