What Is Exaroton?
Exaroton is a separate paid service from the team behind Aternos. It is not a paid tier inside an Aternos account. You choose a RAM allocation and manage when the server runs. Runtime and storage are separate parts of the billing rules.
How Pricing Works
An exaroton credit is worth EUR 0.01. Running a server costs one credit per GB of RAM per hour. A 4 GB server therefore costs EUR 0.04 per running hour: EUR 0.80 for 20 hours, or EUR 28.80 for 720 hours in a 30-day month. These are calculations from the published rate, not performance comparisons.
The storage limit is 10 GB per server. The storage charge is 10 credits per 30-day period, reduced by credits spent running that server. At least 10 credits of runtime removes that charge for the period. Keep enough credits for any applicable storage charge and retain an independent backup.
AutoStop is optional. You can turn it off or choose an idle timeout, so the server can keep running without players while sufficient credits are available. Compare your expected total with a monthly plan; there is no universal break-even number of hours.
