| 2 | Scorched Earth | Desert, heat, sandstorms |
| 3 | The Center | Large free DLC map |
| 4 | Aberration | Underground, radiation, no flyers |
| 5 | Extinction | Ruined Earth, Titans, corruption |
| 6 | Astraeos | Newer map (community/expansion) |
| 7+ | Genesis & others | Released over time |
Note: Exact availability shifts as new maps are remastered. Check the in-game store/server browser for the current list.
Map Themes at a Glance
The Island
The original map, a balanced mix of beaches, forests, mountains, swamps, and a snow biome. Best for new players.
Scorched Earth
A harsh desert with extreme heat, sandstorms, and creatures like Wyverns. Survival is about temperature management and water.
The Center
A huge, beautiful free map with floating islands and underground oceans. Great for building.
Aberration
An underground biome with radiation zones, no flyers, and unique creatures (Reapers, Rock Drakes). Very challenging.
Extinction
A destroyed Earth overrun by corrupted creatures and giant Titans. End-game storyline content.
Choosing a Map
- New players: Start on The Island
- Experienced players: Scorched Earth, Aberration for a challenge
- Builders: The Center for scenery and space

Running Your Own Map
You can host any ASA map on a dedicated server and switch maps as new ones release. Maps vary in resource demands, heavier maps and high player counts need more RAM (8-16 GB+).
