or compare all plansQuick answer: An Enshrouded 1.0 server starts at €5.80 a month for Ember (4GB RAM), but we advise Flame (8GB, €10.20) as the smallest plan for 1.0, because Keen Games puts the server at about 4.4GB of RAM when idle. Beacon (12GB, €15.80) runs a full 16-player world and Ancient (24GB) costs €30.90. Prices are the same in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, Singapore, India and Australia; in the USA plans cost €0.10 per GB more (Flame €11.00). The server runs through Proton on Linux, on a shared AMD Ryzen 9: 3900X-class in Europe, Canada and India, 7950X3D in the USA and 5950X in Singapore and Australia. It is a PC server, so PS5 players cannot join it.

Enshrouded 1.0 on your server
Enshrouded left Early Access on 15 October 2026 with the full map, the new Cinder's Cradle biome, a level cap of 50 and the end of the story. Keen Games released the 1.0 dedicated server build the same day. Your old world still loads: the game converts it to a new format and makes a backup first, although Keen recommends starting fresh for 1.0.
- Make a backup of your world in the panel.
- Restart the server, so SteamCMD pulls the 1.0 server build.
- Keep the old world, or start a new one by moving the old save folder aside.
- Join with your updated game and find your server among the dedicated servers in the Join menu.
Step by step: updating a server to Enshrouded 1.0, joining a dedicated server and moving your co-op world to a server.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Yes. Pick Australia (Sydney) or Singapore in the plan selector. Both cost the same as our European servers, from €5.80 a month for 4 GB RAM, though we advise 8 GB (€10.20) for Enshrouded 1.0. Servers there run on a shared AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with NVMe storage and DDoS protection. For New Zealand, Sydney is our closest location; for Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam it is Singapore.
- Enshrouded uses a Proton compatibility layer that we pre-configure on our Linux servers. You do not need to install or configure Proton yourself. The server binary runs through Proton automatically.
- Enshrouded 1.0 came out on 15 October 2026, and Keen Games released the 1.0 dedicated server build the same day. Restart your server so SteamCMD downloads it, then join with your updated game to check both are on 1.0. Make a backup in the panel first. If the server does not start or still shows the old version, contact us in live chat.
- No. Keen Games says Early Access saves keep working in 1.0: the game converts them to a new format and makes a backup first. Keen does strongly encourage a fresh start for 1.0, and the skill tree and key bindings are reset. Make your own backup in the panel before restarting into 1.0, so you can always go back to the old world.
- Up to 16. Keen Games' server configuration accepts a slot count between 1 and 16. Our higher tiers add RAM headroom and disk space, not more player slots.
- Keen Games' dedicated server FAQ says the server process uses about 4.4GB of RAM when idle, adds up to 100MB per player, and should stay under 6GB in total. On our Linux nodes it also runs through Proton, which needs some memory of its own. Flame (8GB) is the smallest plan above Keen's 6GB figure; Beacon (12GB) and up add headroom for long-running worlds and a full 16 players. Keen's recommended specs for a whole Windows machine hosting 4 to 6 players list 16GB of RAM and a 6-core CPU.
- Yes. The dedicated server is a free tool that comes with the game on Steam. Keen Games only ships it for Windows for now and says Linux support is planned, which is why we run it through Proton. You can set the server name, the slot count, passwords per role (user groups such as visitors, friends and admins) and a difficulty preset or custom game settings.
- Keen Games' documentation lists one port in enshrouded_server.json: queryPort, 15637 by default, plus the ports Steam itself needs. On a Space-Node server the ports are assigned for you, so there is nothing to forward on a router.
- In the Join menu, turn on the Show dedicated server filter; dedicated servers are hidden without it. If the server still does not show up, Keen Games suggests adding it as a favourite in the Steam client under View, Game Servers, using the server's IP and query port, written as IP:QueryPort. Favourites are listed at the top of the in-game server list.
- No. Enshrouded 1.0 came out on 15 October 2026 on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5, and Keen Games says in its launch FAQ that the game is not cross-platform at launch. Keen is working on cross-platform play but gives no date for it. Our servers run the PC dedicated server, so players on PC can join them and PS5 players cannot; we do not sell PS5 servers. The Xbox Series X|S version is planned for 2027, according to Keen Games.
- Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, USA (California), USA (Virginia), Singapore, India, and Australia. Check the live latency preview before you order.
- Yes, on every Enshrouded plan at no extra cost.
- Yes. Move to a higher tier without rebuilding your server. Your world data stays intact.
- Yes, but less than you might expect. Keen Games says a world save starts very small and gets close to 100MB for worlds with a lot of big bases, and the 1.0 server files take about 8GB. Every plan has room for that. Only the world lives on the server; character saves stay on each player's PC.
