Paid Discord bot plans from seven hosts, checked on 25 October 2026: 512 MB to 2 GB, what the first year costs in euros, VAT, and the catch behind each low price.

The cheapest paid Discord bot plans we found on 25 October 2026 cost between €4.99 and about €10.72 for a first year with 512 MB of RAM: Wispbyte's sale tier at €4.99 a year, our Growth plan at €6.40 for a year (or €0.50 a month on 6-month billing), Wispbyte's regular yearly plan at €9.99 and Sparked Host at USD 1.00 a month. At that price level the differences are in the small print: how long you prepay, what happens when the bot outgrows the plan, and whether VAT is already in the number.

Every price below comes from the host's own page, read on 25 October 2026. US dollar prices are converted at the ECB reference rate of 23 October 2026 (1 EUR = 1.1193 USD). "First 12 months" is what one year costs on the cheapest term the host shows for that plan, setup fees included; where a host shows only a monthly price, it is twelve monthly payments.

What our plans cost on longer terms

Our bot plans are billed for at least 6 months. Longer terms lower the monthly price, and the 2 and 3 year terms drop the €0.50 setup fee:

PlanRAM and storage6 months1 year2 years3 years
Growth512 MB, 10 GB NVMe€3.00€5.90€8.99€11.99
Pro1 GB, 20 GB NVMe€6.00€11.90€17.99€23.99
XL2 GB, 40 GB NVMe€12.00€23.80€35.99€47.99

Add €0.50 setup to the 6 month and 1 year prices. Before setup, Growth comes to €0.50, €0.49, €0.37 and €0.33 a month across the four terms. Three years of Growth therefore cost less per month than Wispbyte's €4.99 sale tier, as long as you are fine paying €11.99 up front. The same goes for Pro and XL on 2 or 3 years against Wispbyte's yearly 1 GB and 2 GB plans (€11.49 and €21.99 a year). Our free Starter plan (64 MB) is out of stock, so Growth is the smallest plan you can order today.

The catches behind low prices

Prepaying. Our plans start at 6 months, and Wispbyte's lowest prices are all yearly. Sparked, Cybrancee, PebbleHost, Wispbyte's monthly tiers and bot-hosting.net let you pay per month and Daki per 30 days; Cybrancee, Wispbyte and bot-hosting.net charge less per month when you pay for a year.

Plans that cannot grow. Wispbyte says its €4.99 and €5.99 sale tiers "can't be upgraded or downgraded later" and that their tickets go into the slower support queue. Its plans from €9.99 a year can be changed and get the faster queue. If a bot might grow, check what a host lets you do with the plan you buy before you prepay a year.

VAT. Our prices include VAT. bot-hosting.net lists its prices before VAT: its €2.99 Starter+ plan showed as €3.56 with 19% VAT when we looked. Sparked, Cybrancee and PebbleHost list US dollar prices, and Daki and Wispbyte list euro prices, without saying on the plan pages whether VAT is added for buyers in the EU. Compare the total at checkout, not the number on the plan card.

Shared IP addresses. Discord temporarily blocks IP addresses that send too many invalid requests. Its rate limit documentation puts the limit at 10,000 per 10 minutes, counting responses with status 401, 403 and 429. On a shared IP, a broken bot from someone else counts against the same address. Sparked includes a Low Traffic IP on every plan. We sell it as an add-on: a Low Traffic IP for €6.00 per 6 months, or a Dedicated IP that nobody else uses for €18.00 per 6 months. Most small bots never need either; our guide to Discord rate limits explains when it starts to matter.

Backups. On our bot plans backups are an add-on: 3 backup slots for €6.00 per 6 months, or off-site backups for €10.00 per 6 months. Sparked charges from USD 1.00 a month for 3 backup slots, PebbleHost includes 7 days of automatic backups, and bot-hosting.net backs up every 15 minutes on its 1 GB and 2 GB plans.

Free first, then paid?

Free tiers exist, and each one asks for something in return. Checked on 25 October 2026: bot-hosting.net's free plan has 256 MB of RAM and 25% CPU, and you renew it by hand from its dashboard every 4 days. Wispbyte's free plan has 512 MB and keeps running as long as you log in once every 14 days. Daki's free plan has 512 MB, with the runtime extended through ads. Railway gives new accounts a 30-day trial with USD 5 of credit, then USD 1 of credit a month.

That is fine for a bot you are still building. A bot that runs moderation, tickets or an economy for a real community should not stop because nobody renewed it on day 4. Our free Discord bot hosting comparison goes through the free options one by one.

How much RAM your bot needs

Most bots for one server or a few small ones run in 256 to 512 MB. discord.js and discord.py keep guilds, members and channels in memory, so heavy caching, a database client or a music library push that up. On our plans that works out as:

  • Growth, 512 MB: moderation, ticket and economy bots
  • Pro, 1 GB: bots with a database or several integrations, or a music bot in a handful of servers
  • XL, 2 GB: a Lavalink node next to the bot, AI integrations, or a bot in many servers

Measure before you pay for more: run the bot for a day and note its peak memory use. How much RAM a Discord bot needs has the numbers per bot type.

Which one to pick

  • The lowest price for one small bot that will not grow: Wispbyte's €4.99 sale tier, with the slower support queue and a plan you cannot change.
  • Paying month by month: Sparked Host Basic at USD 1.00 or Wispbyte's monthly Tier 1 at €1.49 a month.
  • A bot your community depends on, with VAT in the price and people to ask: our Growth plan at €0.50 a month. Support for the hosting runs through live chat, Discord and email from 08:00 to 20:00 UTC, seven days a week; help with your bot's own code is a separate add-on. The plans are on our Discord bot hosting page.
  • 2 GB for a music bot or Lavalink: Wispbyte's yearly Tier 2 costs the least for a first year, €21.99. Our XL (€24.30 for the first year with setup) and Daki Bronze (€2 per 30 days) come next, and XL drops to €1.50 a month on the 2 year term.

FAQ

Is €0.50 a month the full price of Growth? You pay €3.00 every 6 months plus a one-time €0.50 setup fee, VAT included. The 1 year term is €5.90 plus the same setup fee, and the 2 and 3 year terms (€8.99 and €11.99) have no setup fee.

Which paid Discord bot host is the cheapest? For 512 MB on 25 October 2026: Wispbyte's sale tier (€4.99) for a single year, our Growth plan over three years (€11.99, or €0.33 a month), and Sparked Host (USD 1.00 a month) if you want to pay monthly. At 2 GB it was Wispbyte's yearly Tier 2 at €21.99 a year. The tables above have the rest.

Is a VPS cheaper for a single bot? Not at these sizes. Our Premium VPS starts at €4.20 a month for 2 GB, against €0.50 to €2.00 for a bot plan, and on a VPS you patch the system and set up restarts yourself. A VPS starts to make sense once you run several bots, a web dashboard or a database next to them.

Is it cheaper to run the bot on my own PC? Only if the PC is on anyway. A bot at home goes offline with every reboot, update or router restart, and the PC draws power for every hour the bot runs. The true cost of self-hosting a Discord bot works out the numbers.
