The best Palworld host depends on how many people play. On 25 October 2026, a server for 8 to 10 players cost between EUR 10.20 and about EUR 17 a month at the hosts we compared, and a full 32-player server between about EUR 22 and EUR 41, with per-player pricing the cheapest for a full lobby and our own 32GB plan the most expensive.
We sell Palworld servers ourselves, so every price below comes from the host's own page as it was on 25 October 2026, with the links under the tables, and the tables show where we lose as well as where we win. First, what Pocketpair says a server needs, because that decides which plans are worth comparing at all.
What a Palworld server needs, according to Pocketpair
Pocketpair's requirements page (docs version 1.0.4) lists:
| Item | Pocketpair's requirement |
|---|---|
| CPU | 4 cores or more, recommended |
| Memory | 16GB. "Recommended for larger than 32GB." "8GB is also bootable, but increases the possibility of server crashes due to out of memory." |
| Network | UDP port 8211, default and changeable |
| Storage | A fast SSD; "Low-performance storage may corrupt saved data" |
| OS | Windows 64-bit or Linux 64-bit (Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and others) |
The Japanese version of the page is plainer about the second memory line: 32GB or more for stable operation.
Players: the Palworld Steam page says online co-op holds up to 4 players and "a dedicated server can allow up to 32 players to play together". 32 is the cap, whatever the plan.
Pocketpair publishes no RAM figure per player. What grows is the world: bases, working Pals and structures all add to the memory a server uses, so a world that starts fine on 8GB can need more after a few months with the same group. That is why the player counts on our plans are recommendations based on RAM, and why a plan that sells 32 slots on 10GB deserves a second look.
One tip from the same docs for anyone copying old launch flags: Pocketpair's arguments page says that in v1.0 and later, leaving -useperfthreads -NoAsyncLoadingThread -UseMultithreadForDS unset may improve performance.
Palworld on a Linux server
Our Palworld servers run the Linux build of the dedicated server. Whichever host you pick, ask which build it runs, because that decides the points below:
- It is an official build. Pocketpair supports Linux 64-bit: the server installs with SteamCMD as app 2394010 and starts with
./PalServer.sh. Its official Docker image is Linux too and was pinned to v1.0.5.102999, the current game version, on 25 October 2026. - Settings are the same. PalWorldSettings.ini sits in
Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/instead ofWindowsServer/, with the same options. - No server-side mods. Pocketpair's mod page says that "at this time, server-side mods work only on the dedicated server with Windows edition." If server mods are the reason you want a server, you need a Windows server, and our Palworld mods guide goes into what that means.
- Crossplay is on by default. Pocketpair's server docs say dedicated servers are cross-play enabled by default for Steam, Xbox and the Microsoft Store PC version, Mac and PS5. Xbox and PS5 players can only join a community server, which is the same server started with
-publiclobby, so ask your host whether it can run that before you order. Our Palworld crossplay guide has the setup.
Palworld server prices compared
Prices read from each host's own page on 25 October 2026, monthly unless noted. Our prices include VAT. USD and GBP prices are converted at the ECB reference rate of 23 October 2026 (1 EUR = 1.1193 USD = 0.83728 GBP), and the US and UK hosts do not say whether VAT is added for EU buyers.

Entry prices without a listed player count
| Host | What the page shows | Price |
|---|---|---|
| low.ms | "From" price | USD 8.95 (about EUR 8.00) |
| Physgun | Mozzarina plan, 4GB | USD 9.87 (about EUR 8.82) |
| GTXGaming | "From" price | GBP 9.99 (about EUR 11.93) |
How to read this:
- Small groups. Among plans that state a player count, our 8GB LAMBALL was the lowest price for 8 players. For 10 players, Shockbyte's 6GB Lamball was the lowest at about EUR 15.18, with our 12GB CHIKIPI at EUR 15.30. Physgun and low.ms start lower, but Physgun's entry plan has 4GB, half of what Pocketpair calls bootable, and the low.ms home page gives only a "from" price without a size.
- 16 players. Indifferent Broccoli's 16-player plan was about EUR 1.75 a month below our 16GB DEPRESSO.
- Full lobbies. Indifferent Broccoli prices by player count only ("Plans provide uncapped RAM. Only player count is limited"), which makes its 32-player plan the cheapest here. Shockbyte's 32-player plan comes with 10GB, under the 16GB Pocketpair lists. Our 32GB PALADIUS follows Pocketpair's 32GB recommendation and costs more than any other 32-player plan in the table.
- USA. Our USA plans cost EUR 0.10 per GB of RAM more (LAMBALL EUR 11.00, PALADIUS EUR 44.00). Prices in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, Singapore, India and Australia are the same.
Sources, all read on 25 October 2026: Indifferent Broccoli, Shockbyte, G-Portal (Dutch page, prices in EUR), Physgun, low.ms, GTXGaming and the plan list on our own Palworld hosting page.
What the price table leaves out
- CPU. Our Palworld servers run on a shared AMD Ryzen 9: 3900X-class in Europe, Canada and India, 7950X3D in the USA and 5950X in Singapore and Australia. Physgun advertises an overclocked Ryzen 9 7900X or better with DDR5.
- Where the server is. We have nine regions: the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, California, Virginia, Singapore, Mumbai and Sydney. Physgun lists Chicago and London, Indifferent Broccoli regions in North America, Europe and Asia. Pick the region where most of your group plays.
- Trying before you pay. Indifferent Broccoli offers a 2-day free trial, Shockbyte a 72-hour self-serve refund, Physgun a 3-day money-back guarantee, and G-Portal rents Palworld servers for 3 days from EUR 4.40. We do not offer a money-back guarantee; refunds follow our terms of service.
- Backups. Every one of our plans includes 2 backup slots that you fill by hand or with a scheduled task in the panel. Automatic off-site backups are a paid add-on at checkout.
Which size to pick
Start from your world, not from the slot count. Pocketpair's figures translate to three sizes:
- 8GB boots and carries a small group on a fresh world, with the out-of-memory risk Pocketpair warns about as the world grows. That is our LAMBALL.
- 16GB is the figure Pocketpair lists, and where we would start most groups.
- 32GB or more is what Pocketpair recommends for stable operation. Use it for a full 32-player lobby or a world that has been running for months: PALADIUS (32GB) or NECROMUS (48GB). NECROMUS still holds 32 players at most, since that is the cap.
You can move up a plan later from the client panel and pay the prorated difference. All seven plans, with a region picker that runs a live ping check from your browser, are on our Palworld server hosting page.
Hosting it yourself instead
The dedicated server is free on Steam, and Pocketpair documents installs on Windows, Linux and Docker. If your group plays at the same times and one of you has a PC with 16GB to spare, that can be enough. We wrote up when that works and when it does not in self-hosting versus a VPS versus game hosting, and the Palworld 1.0 RAM guide goes deeper into memory.
FAQ
How much does a Palworld server cost? On 25 October 2026, between EUR 10.20 and about EUR 17 a month for 8 to 10 players at the hosts compared here, and between about EUR 22 and EUR 41 for 32 players.
How much RAM does a Palworld server need for 32 players? Pocketpair gives no per-player figure. It lists 16GB, recommends 32GB or more for stable operation and warns that 8GB increases the chance of out-of-memory crashes. 32 players is the most a dedicated server takes.
Can Xbox and PS5 players join a hosted Palworld server?
Pocketpair's docs say yes, if the server runs as a community server, which is the dedicated server started with -publiclobby. Ask your host before you order whether it can run one.
Can I use mods on a hosted Palworld server? Server-side mods only work on the Windows edition of the dedicated server, according to Pocketpair. Hosts that run the Linux server, us included, cannot run them.
Is per-player or per-GB pricing cheaper for Palworld? For a full lobby, per-player pricing was cheaper in our 25 October 2026 check. For a group of up to 8 players, our 8GB plan was the lowest price among plans with a stated player count.
